At one point of the tea, the women begin to discuss the Mrunas. The Mrunas are an African tribe that missionaries were trying to convert to Christianity. That leads to the women discussing how the black community in Maycomb have been acting since the Tom Robinson case. After reading the chapter, complete the slide show to do your chapter summary.

In this chapter we meet Mr. Dolphus Raymond. Jem described Dolphus Raymond as the town drunk, who is an outcast because he mixes with the black community. He has children with a black woman and that is considered a terrible thing.

Scout's misunderstanding of the situation adds to the tension and suspense of the chapter.
